Hate to ...but damn!! These so stunning. For me, they fall in the top three shoes/boots in the thread...or any thread!
And another nicely composed birds eye shot.
After experiencing success using saphir cream on my whiskey LWB's, I decided to try it on my BB color 8 LHS's. These were my first shells and I got them off of eBay before I knew what shell was. When I couldn't get them to pop I kept polishing with regular shoe polish after almost every wear. By the time I knew what I had I had done considerable damage. I've used almost everything to bring them back to life, including renovateur, a deer bone, and my wife's stockings, among other things. I have been able to undo the damage but was still not able to get them to pop. Well today I tried the saphir cream and boy do they pop.
I was so psyched about the results that one by one I ended up hitting my entire color 8 family. Below is a family shot. Unfortunately my iPad really doesn't do a good job of taking pictures, but here goes:
My babies. They grow up so fast.....
Call Alden San Francisco. They had some navy chukkas last time I was there, I just can't recall if they were suede or CXL.besides Alden Madison (don't have my size), who has navy suede chukkas?
Saphir Cordovan Cream in Neutral infuses very much moisture into shell. More so than Reno/Venetian. I have all 3. It is said that it will temporarily darken whiskey, but that once it dries it will return to its original shade. For this reason, I hesitate to suggest it for your situation. All that I can attest to is that the stuff really moisturizes.
No. It's be disputed repeatedly on here. Nobody has been able to offer any concrete evidence that it has adverse effects. The best that has been offered is theorization.
You should get the Lexol wipes for your leather furniture. I know that doesn't help you use up your VSC.
Reno vs VSC has been debated repeatedly on this thread. Nobody has been able to offer any proof that one is superior to the other. One smells better, one is cheaper. As far as results, there really is no discernible difference, and I would be skeptical of anyone who says otherwise.
Yes, this is one of a few common problems that occur with speed hooks. Also one of the reasons why they are a deal-breaker for me every time, except for non-alden boots.
For the whisky nst 24061 anyone know why sole looks so much sleeker than your typical Barrie? Heel is definitely narrower and waist looks to be as well. Fit feels the same though
Mdubs,
...I don't think you have too many shoes, unless you wear a 10.5, in that case you need to purge.
HaHa! I am a 10.5...
-Mike
What a happy coincidence. By any chance are you talking 10.5 TTS or 10.5 Barrie? If 10.5 Barrie (11 TTS) then I'm fairly certain you both need to purge .
