My personal preference for saddles is for shell on the toe of the shoe with suede on the non-creasing part. But those are certainly nice saddles.
It really comes down to whether you primarlily want a shell shoe or a suede shoe.
These are awesome! As someone who doesn't always think that the creases in shell are a positive (sometimes, just not always) I think this is the best way to do a saddle. The luster of shell on the non-creasing part, and suede or calf on the rest.
