Some GMTO Indy goodness from AoC on their inaugural day at work. The comfort of a well-fitting Indy is mind boggling, even on the first day. @stormboy202 just fyi I am an 8-3/4 E on a Brannock, and these are 7.5E and still comfortably roomy with fairly thick socks.

Proper fitting TB last is just that Proper fitting, good right out of the box, no break-in (as opposed to some other brands which have a lengthy break-in period....cough....wolverine....)

Is there a well regarded/definitive guide to sun fading shell cordovan? I am moving to a new house in December and have plenty of room to have a pair sit in a window for months but don't to screw anything up.

Didn't expect much but I've been up and down in size after losing 100+ lbs and then spending a year on the weight bench, so I'm keeping things cheap inexpensive until I have a better idea of where I'll settle dimensions-wise.

The quality is surprisingly good for little $, especially since I expected it to be paper thin garbage, but we'll see how it ages with wear, washes, etc.

It's also cavernous. I'm a size 50 jacket and the XL is roomy.

Plaza utips out again. Only a handful of wears so far and the bad Alden dye job is already showing in the light again.

This was the result after sending them back to Alden to be fixed (for the bad dyeing) after getting them in March… as you can see they didn’t really fix anything sadly.

Still mostly love the boots, but annoying to have the bad dye in one of the most visible spots. Since I need a B width, I can’t return any boots I order, so this makes me hesitant of ordering from Alden in the future

A post with a nod to @Roycru for the day's adventures.

Bachelor party this weekend and I'm visiting the George S Patton museum before the festivities begin. Sadly, many of the tanks I saw as a boy have been moved since the armor school was relocated.

Decided to wear Modified boots for a military type last for the occasion.

Photos don't do the tanks justice. They are massive!

Patton's famous ivory pistols. These are the his actual revolvers. The back side of the right revolver has two hash marks for bandits he killed in Mexico in battle.

Sherman tank. I'm a tall guy and the barrel is easily 8' high

Foam firetruck damaged in 9/11 when Flight 77 struck the Pentagon. It was sitting within 200 feet of the impact point and saved the lives of the 3 men assigned to it.

Keeping it GYW relevant here, even the Mannequins have GYW boots! Nails in the sole too. I'm very impressed with the details on them.

And finally, I'm going to visit my bank here and inquire about removing some of my gold. I don't think they'll mind me paying a visit.
