Maybe a daft question, but does The Shoe Mart accept requests to see a photograph or two of a Factory Seconds pair of boots before placing an order?
I am interested in a pair but would want to avoid expensive international shipping for returns.

That's not a daft question at all, I have wondered the same thing, but have never ask them. I have had pix of actual boots I was thinking of buying from other retailers, in the past.

You could just email them and ask? They are very nice to deal with and given the international situation I bet they would help you out with a photo or two.

They will talk to you about it on the phone. No photos, in my experience. But, their scrutiny on FDs is pretty tight. I bought a pair of 907s a few months ago and there were no glaring issues.

They don’t ship outside the US.

I use my index finger to push in the center a bit and squeeze the outsides between thumb and middle finger. Pen, pencil etc sounds like a potential snag or mark where you don't want one.

Yes sir if you do use a pen must wipe it off first...love that extra detail on a centered knot with the tight dimple. On a loosely pulled knot the dimple is not as important but still adds to the nice touch. Okay back to fine footwear.

The are pretty good about scrutiny, I once had them cancel a FD order and refund my money, the reasoning, they were just too bad to even be FD's. That says a lot about QC
