Anyone own any boots on the Hampton last? I’m guessing they’re not super common.

I’m like a 7.5E or 7.5EE on Barrie (8D works but is a tad long on me) and 8D on Trubalance (7.5E might work too, haven’t tried it).

I’m thinking 8E would be my best bet. Am I way off?

Looking at these.

You're on the mark BITJ. My Dearborns are Hampton and they are an 8.5E. Fit my 8.5D Barrie feet like a glove. FWIW, I also have a 9D Hampton shoe that's s good fit as well. As dress boot lasts go, it doesn't get much better than Hampton.

Nice boot you're considering.

For those who are interested, I found a behind the scenes shot of Harrison Ford filming the leap of faith in the Holy Grail movie. It gives a nice view of the soles in his his Alden boots, long before they were known as Indys.

The scene in the orifinal where he's fighting the dude on the plane gives you a couple good looks too.

I love my Indy boots. They are the gateway drug to Alden for many of us (and for boots in general for me - had never seriously considered buying a pair of boots as an adult).

Question on Aberdeen sizing. If I wear 8D in Barrie and Van (Barrie needs midweight socks); and 8.5D in Copley (bad fit, loose) and Plaza (Ok fit, snug but ok in instep); how is the Aberdeen likely to fit in an 8.5D?

I’m mostly worried about the instep, but vaguely concerned about the width.

ETA: Sorry all, I should have searched first. Would still appreciate opinion on instep between Plaza and Aberdeen!

I apologize if this has been answered, but a quick search didn't provide any insight. What is the process for ordering something in their ravello cordovan? Do you have to speak directly with a store, or does Alden release limited numbers which are quickly purchased?

Thanks in advance!

Stores get an allocation for the year; can be as small as a dozen units. You'll need to find a retailer that offers a make up you like and get on their list. Be aware with rare shell like Ravello you may be waiting several years...
The Shoe Mart has changed to a first come first serve philosophy on their models, but again they sell out very quickly and aren't available in all sizes.

I'm pretty sensitive to instep fit due to an old foot injury. To me the room is pretty similar.
