Is Herringbone/Chevron pattern too trendy for floor pattern? It looks great now but at one point in time, so did 'parquet and cocaine'.

I think herringbone floors look good in certain contexts and it is important to get the proportions right. With that being said, I like the look of parquet in scenarios too.

What are your thoughts on a condo setup that is relatively small (~600sqft)? Is that what you meant by proportions?

600sq ft split into multiple rooms? I could see that looking odd for transitions and trying to keep the pattern.

The landscape lighting installers are here and there are 4 of them. I'm glad I went the pay route versus trying to do that **** on my own. The other plus is not having MV visit my house to help install and sleeping on my couch.
On your couch?? Man what kind of hospitality is that. I was expecting to be able to sleep at the foot of your bed at an absolute minimum!

I meant more: if you have a large room, and you make the herringbone pattern really small, it will look very busy. Of the two pictures you posted, I like the first one better.

Ohhh I understand, gotcha!

It's a living room and a bedroom so might have to go bigger size so the space becomes visually bigger

If you were around in the day and wondered what happened to all those freaks, well a lot of them are still here.

Have you ever wanted to do palm readings in your house? Possibly teach divination?

There is no way that attic space, accessible by an attic ladder, can be coded as a bedroom....
