so for people who have tried (or going to try) ACME, do you go through Medallion or just reach out ACME on IG?

Has anyone had experience dealing with Hephaestus? I've tried hitting them up via email, even messaged the go between guy (acknowledged receipt of my email, but has not responded). Not really a chinese shoemaker but I haven't seen a thread for them yet so I'm trying my luck here. I'm just trying to spend some money man.....
As others have noted, Hephaestus is very responsive on IG, at least that was my experience. I ordered a pair of HW black hatchgrain SpTD and they’ll be here tomorrow, it took about 6-7 weeks. Here are the pictures that they sent me of the shoes.

Imports to the US for personal use valued under $800 should be duty free. Between $800 and $1800, it's 4%.

so as long as skipping say DHL? They charge a ton of no idea what the heck parcel processing fee

I'm in discussions with them for a pair of MTO shoes. They are around $500 USD for MTO. That price includes shipping and shoe trees.

by the way is it true regardless country of origin?
I believe so, excluding embargoed countries like Cuba and the DPRK of course.
As far as your previous question, I'm not sure what fees DHL or other shipping companies may charge, I only know of those duties from US Customs. Probably best to contact DHL and ask them.

i'd be curious to learn what specs this includes, as I'm hoping to visit them in person and talk to them about MTM or even perhaps bespoke, if they are up for it.
