I have found the Japanese equivalent of the above thread extremely valuable, and I thought it would be a good idea to collate information on Chinese bespoke shoe makers.

I have only been following a few on Instagram, and whilst I don't have comprehensive information at this stage, I was hoping those with information and photos could contribute to this thread and make it the center for information.

[In no particular order]

* Lu Yang, Instagram: @bespoke_shoemaker_luyang, #17 World championships in Shoemaking 2019, Prices: RMB5500-RMB6300 ($800-900) depending on Oxford or Wholecut, Trees RMB 230 ($33), Seamless heel, fiddleback/beveled waist, toe plates, individual last with up to two fittings if required, 4 months delivery time.

Will be at Hong Kong Dashing House 9-11 August 2019 for a Trunk Show.

* Gray Yim, Instagram: @yim.shoemaker, #12 World championships in Shoemaking 2019. Japan Agent @hobu_leather_port

* Huang Niu, Instagram: @wanmenxiedao

I would also like to name Zhao RuoDa, ins@zhaoddddzhao.
Trained at Bemer in Florence and made many Bemer bespoke orders 2017-2018. Now back in China for his own business.

There are truly amazing handwelted shoe manufacturing scene in the Shanghai area. They are normally non-bespoke, only MTO but if you can make it to Shanghai, it is possible to make a customised last with very little cost.
curatedchina@ins is a good source for such infos

@daizawaguy, would you be open to change the title of this thread to something like "CHINESE SHOES: BESPOKE, MTO & RTW SUPER THREAD", was thinking about creating a new thread, but found your one.

last few pages of AM thread was filled with Xibao shoes, which is confusing, @WilYa has also provided some useful information on there, but it's not on the right thread....
