It certainly is beautiful! I am not sure about this, but I believe the global rules are strickter when it comes to ivory trade. Some years ago I was visiting India where we were offered a piece of an elephant tooth. I did´nt buy it, of course. Soon after I heard and read about a forreign chap being arrested and held in custody for trying to export ivory out through Jaisalmir at the western boarder. It is banned, but are there anyone of you guys who remembers when and where it was banned first? Walros tooth is still available on Greenland, but harder to make a shoehorn out of. I did my visit to India back in 1989 and 1993.
