What is the makeup of the middle boot?
@tjyoung here's the make up for that boot:
- Tan waxy saddle with alabaster contrast stitching
- brass eyelets
- natural split reverse welt
- natural edge dressing
- mini lug tap sole

I added the Alden flat laces.

In hindsight I should've requested for leather midsole but this was my first MTO and didn't know much about the different specs.

Gotcha. I just don't know if I would get an MTO like this AND the one with original makeup as they're very similar (main difference being white wedge sole). Solid looking, nonetheless.

Anyone up for another makeup of Eagle Rivers or First Ave's? Damn those look good.

We haven't gotten official confirmation yet, but from what Allison told us, it sounds like even if we get the requisite 12 folks for a GMTO together, they will no longer be waiving the custom fee nor honoring sale prices.

But you should totally go for a single MTO and make it awesome.

I will be holding out to see if any new fall release boots are on the B34 last...

Last I heard, there was a Sturgis 2.0 coming out that would remove the AE shield from the side of the upper. Not sure what else is being done.

First Aves will still be on the 201 last.

AE is introducing another new last or two this fall - maybe one is a boot last. Don't know for sure.

@watchidiot , didn't you order a Heritage as a MTO during the sale? If so, do you know the status of that? I'd be curious to see how it came out (assuming you did, in fact, place an order).

Unfortunately I didn't go for it as I couldn't justify the SMU fee. Here's the latest MTO i have from AE. Finally got to take it out for a drive

Anyone else suddenly considering CF Stead suede MTOs?
Yes. As soon as there is a reasonable sale. I would love to do a Dundee in CF Stead suede with a flat welt and Dainite or V-tread. Unfortunately, the recent price quote I got to do that was $510, and they refused to do Indy lining. That feels like a lot to change the welt and leather.

$510 gets me Carmina, Bonafe, C&J and pretty close to an EG Shanklin...
