Walnut Shell Macneil MTO *WALNUT CORDOVAN *BROWN SPLIT REVERSE WELT *DOUBLE RENDENBACH OUTSOLE This was my first MTO, and it didn't pass inspection. I fortunately was able to grab them as seconds when they got to the shoe bank. I think the flaw was the way the laces line up on the left shoe. Nonetheless, a great deal at second pricing. I then saw another walnut shell MTO, and decided to change the welt to natural on the remake. The laces still don't line up 100%, but I can live with it. Here is the comparison of the two.

Holy cow GOP, you are really eating up this MTO program! Somehow I didn't connect all of these shoes to you!

With that said, your Eagle Country's are amazing. And I am pretty sure those football leather Wingtips would make you the talk of the town at any tailgate party.

I have taken advantage of it. I have one more MTO to past from last summer. I gotta dig and find the specs for it. I have 29 pairs of AEs, and think I am set for a while, that is until next week when I see something new I want.

I am loving both the walnut and cappuccino cordovan. These shell colors don't appear on AE's website...I assume they were limited edition runs or discontinued colors? How often does AE introduce new shell options?

John, that is a terrific question and I will make a mental note to add that to the first post.

AE's only two "rare" Shell Cordovan colors are Walnut and Cappuccino. Their standard colors are Black, Brown, and Burgundy (Color 8). To my knowledge AE ordered the Walnut and Cappuccino for a Webgem run and had left overs they used to fulfill our MTO requests.

Unfortunately, AE has told me that they are all out of Walnut and Cappuccino Shell and are currently not planning to re-order Walnut or Cappuccino shell at this time.

These were the only instances in my knowledge of AE adding additional shell colors.

This pair I requested within a day of Paul Grangaard's original offer. Bone stock MacNeil gunboats in burgundy shell cordovan, but again in 14AA (a typically unavailable size). I was given a bit of a discount even below the waived MTO fee; they were probably taking pity on my freakish feet.
