I think a lot of it is the executives see they are making good money with less people and there is still doubt of another downturn/lockdown. Until executives are comfortable with the market they won't hire more people. COVID lockdowns and people refusing to vaccinate causing further surges on hospitals really is the main reason for this crap.

I asked an honest question because he is saying they are not expecting any Alden hand made for the entirety of 2022! There was absolutely nothing political in the way I asked it. I hate how people try to infer politics when they aren't even being discussed. It's gaslighting. I'm not criticizing you, I'm just pointing out how touchy people are and how quick they want to draw battle lines and get all defensive and up on their soap boxes. I hate politicians period. You won't find me getting into that political nonsense.

My sizing mistake will hopefully make somebody else happy. Been meaning to list these for a couple years, but they just sat in the back of my closet waiting for my feet to shrink. These are from Frans Boone and I believe they said they were the last run of brass eyelets from Alden
