My hope there is that it's not hatchgrain burgundy. I know some people would get excited about it but lots of makers use hatch color 8.
Here’s an Amaretto hatch shell brush that I got from Ealdwine @Misterg12. This color and pattern on a Randolph? Count me in.

Yeah, I was imagining something Church’s level terrible, like:

Church's? What a tragic fall. I went into the Chicago boutique once. There was a young tourist couple from China that the two staff were fawning over. Even though I was wearing a pair of C&J's, they didn't acknowledge me in the least. Perhaps, they really did know who was and wasn't their target because the shoes were hideous, as if Prada and Men's USA had a bastard love child.

Tragic, but simultaneously comedic. The fake vintage is the most absurd of Church’s madness, now ongoing for at least 5 years (I posted this over in the Vintage shoe thread a day or so ago) -

“Church’s, it would appear, has cornered the market for fine fake vintage shoes. What I’d imagined would only be a passing fad, remains an exceedingly expensive part of their lineup:

Yes, that’s right, you can pay Church’s 1,750 bucks for a pair of fake worn vintage shoes, complete with dingy 150th anniversary label:

You can even marvel at their pre-curled shape:

…“

Part of me wishes I could get my hands on a pair, so if I could “restore” them.

I bought these for like 25 bucks with very little wear, but badly abused and uncared for):

And made them into these with a bit of reshaping and elbow grease:

Of course, while I’d relish the challenge, for 1750 bucks I’d rather have a couple of pairs of those swank Watermelon Shell Strands.
