thanks LDad.....that was exactly what I meant. Guess that's why you get the big bucks, to put into concise clear terms what scatterbrains like myself are thinking

and ultimately I agree with your 2nd point too, but I do give him some props for rockin what *HE* thinks is stylish with what seems like unwavering confidence.

I like the purple socks. Add in some orange, and this guy's got a nice Jokeresque colour scheme going on

I don't mind this outfit that much. I'd give it a B. There are far worse offenders on Sartorialist we could be tearing apart right now.

Yeah, any time you're unclear on what you mean to say, just ask me. And we're pretty much in complete agreement. I think he looks like an ass, but if he's feeling good than more power to him.

"Ah, Lovie, I seem to have gained some weight and I woke up this morning wearing your trousers and socks. Have Gilligan start making my martini's a little weaker, would you?"

GS, I generally respect your opinions, but this is the second picture of this man where he's trying way too hard to be noticed. I'd be much more impressed if he could be somewhat subtle. He could gain the same effect if his jacket actually fit him and he showed only an inch (or even half an inch) of his purple socks.

Who is he anyway? I would guess he's a bigwig in the industry(?).

It seems like we don't extend that sort of genorosity very equally though. I'm sure a lot of the celebrities and some members we bash around here feel good too, but we rarely conclude by saying "Well, it looks ****** but if you like it..."

I mean we do sometimes, but it doesn't really seem like we mean it. Also, no one's advocating flying out and forcibly redressing this guy- we're just musing on what we think of his outfit. Again, I don't really see how his feelings about it are material.

They're probably not - I was just responding as I read. He still looks douchey to me.

Top half I kinda like. The white pants... meh whatever.... the purple socks with cankles... eeek! It's like he is ready to be an extra in an exercise video at any moment.

I do love the fact that this dude is getting torn limb from short pant leg limb. ONLY here would that happen....this is a beautiful cyber world we rot our brains in.
