I'm thinking of wearing them sockless with light colored linen/cotton pants and/or shorts. What do you think? Will these work with shorts?

Note: They were a bit tight with socks, but I tried them on my bare foot and they felt pretty comfortable. I'm thinking they will look better with shorts once they are broken in.

Those are the shoe equivalent of pleated jeans.

Ouch. I've been humbled by the LabelKing! I bow before your sense of style.

Seriously though, I'm glad I took them back. They definitely were not the right thing. I guess some part of my mind was thinking that a cross between a penny loafer and a fisherman's sandal would make a good summer shoe. I think that this is another case of form over function. They were quite comfortable and breathable for a leather loafer worn barefoot.

i like the look of the grand harbors the best, but i'm suspicious of spending $90 on tommy bahama

i'd prefer sperry, but their cvo is orange this season

thoughts?

Keds Champion imo. I feel if you're going red a canvas shoe is easier to pull off than a boat shoe. Plus I've always liked the shape of those Keds.
