Wooden soles? I think you guys are confused. Are you talking about a stacked leather heel? Wood isn't used in shoes....

Picked up pair of these Allen Edmonds Capri at the Nordstrom Rack today for $70:

I'm thinking of wearing them sockless with light colored linen/cotton pants and/or shorts. What do you think? Will these work with shorts? Note: They were a bit tight with socks, but I tried them on my bare foot and they felt pretty comfortable. I'm thinking they will look better with shorts once they are broken in.

Common Projects white perfs and court shoes.

Hoping to jump on the Quoddy bandwagon as well. Still don't have a pair yet.

Wood isn't all that uncommon to be implemented in the heels. I have some boots with a wood heel.

I picked some up this afternoon @ Sid Mashburn. I was surprised by the quality. Perforated leather lining, quality eyelets, shoe bag, etc.

I don't own these SeaVees, but I do own another pair and HIGHLY recommend them as well. They are very comfortable and are high quality. The best shoe out there...no, but definitely worth a look.

This or true white broken in. I don't think it can be beat for casual wear (chuck styled shoes come close).

the thickness of that sole looks ludicrous, bordering some kinda trailer park "i'm about to hit up walmart for some bras" type shoes.
