Clearly, the correct answer is Bedford and Norfolk. In earth tones. What am I thinking? I'll probably have to get involved in trafficking to afford such a thing.

That is truth. People will have to die for me to afford some of this stuff at this point.

Has anyone tried to board a plane with this buckle? It looks vaguely sharp and dangerous.

Hmm, I don't think any difference is noticeable IRL. Mainly, the strap is a bit looser because it's snapped instead of tightly sewn, so it is able to slide down a bit in the pic - but when worn it looks the same.

Ah.

The removable hardware does seem like a big advantage, especially if you wanted to polish the brass buckle.

j. is correct about the buckle being able to slide more because it has snaps rather than being sewn down. And the buckle actually fits the belt. What you see in the pic is an optical illusion because the release is not down the entire way. I just checked now...
