The straps on the new belts looks like they're too narrow for the buckle. On the brown originals, the straps look like they fit perfectly.
Hmm, I don't think any difference is noticeable IRL. Mainly, the strap is a bit looser because it's snapped instead of tightly sewn, so it is able to slide down a bit in the pic - but when worn it looks the same.

Ah.
The removable hardware does seem like a big advantage, especially if you wanted to polish the brass buckle.

j. is correct about the buckle being able to slide more because it has snaps rather than being sewn down. And the buckle actually fits the belt. What you see in the pic is an optical illusion because the release is not down the entire way. I just checked now...

Hmmm... Engineered Garments for Styleforum Bedford jacket. I like it. Not saying that this will happen, but if it did happen, how many of you would commit to one
I already have a Bedford but would most likely buy another one if it was different...
edit: I would be interested in any Engineered Garments jacket.
