Is there any difference b/w the two besides the straight vs bootcut ie knee, waist, thigh dimensions? Thanks guys.

Didn't someone order these from revolve and get the non flame denim? Having a memory lapse, fess up.

I bought a pair from revolve and they were not the flame. I am not sure if they are Japanese selvedge, however, as the label indicates that they were made in Italy. Others on this forum have received the same jeans, I believe.

I like the cut very much, but I've never worn RRs, so I can't give an accurate comparison. They aren't too slim and neither are they loose or relaxed. But they look good with just about any kind of footwear.

For some reason, I've never seen anything other than Regular Ralf and Slim Jims in retail.

Thanks nasty, pg

I'm thinking about ordering both just so I can compare them side by side

I want to order something crazy but I can't without trying them on ie sorahiko, samurai, pbj. Decisions decisions decisions.

The SSDS are a bit slimmer through the thighs than the RRDS, but it's not extremely pronounced. Of course they are slimmer in the calf area as well. You should just rock your RRDS dude.

I sold them because I wanted to start over but they're practically new still. I should get something different, I don't know man. I need to fly to nyc.

You can order sorahikos and return them if you don't like, since they are one wash. I got a pair of suminandos on the way right now :p Or you can take a trip to SF and grab Samurai/Sugarcane/Ironheart at self edge.

Thanks fellas, I'm just super picky with clothes especially the fit of pants/jeans ie dimensions. I don't know all the washes they have or I end up not liking anything I can't get my money back. Saw those limited SDAs, pretty sweet but there aren't any measurements on the page.

BIG doesn't have any 34 pbj's according to the site right now. I think they'll be too slim but perhaps not in a 34.

If you wear a 34 in RRDS normally you probably want to go with a 35 if not a 36 in PBJ-XX-005 IMO.

i've got a pair of flame dry straight svens and i really like them. the denim is sort of uneven but definitely no where near the slubbiness of pbj's. i also like the streakyness of the denim, in fact that was what made the jeans appealing to me at first. as far as the fit is concerned, they're the best fitting jeans i've purchased, no anti-fit ass...just straight all the way through. i think the slight bootcut on the rrds is the only thing that's different between the rrds and ssds but i'm just going off of measurements i've seen before so i could be completely wrong. if you want measurements for a pair in size 28 then i can get some measurements for you and you can try to compare those to a pair of rrds, let me know. you might want to check out the fos5 website, i think they have some measurements up for all the different nudie cuts.

There's a very noticable front and back rise difference in my 32x32 RRDG and my 31x32 SSD, though I'm not sure if that's from the difference in waist sizes.
