Have never found anything that I like better than kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Sometimes fun though to use a bbq rub the likes of which you would normally use on pork, kind of like how Longhorn does their steaks.

^Good call. Special **** might be my favorite "do it all" seasoning. I would add that to my list above. Simple coarse salt and pepper might be my favorite for steak.
