Not sure if I will call spade more dressier but I liked that design. Also, I don’t like round waist and I always like fiddleback waist like G&G more. Tapered heel was offered so why not :)

I'm about to place my OT split toe in horween epsresso hatchgrain, decide to go with rounded waist/straight heel, just because the whole thing feels more "casual"

I like the split toe on EG 888 more than I thought I would (if you ask me without picture I probably would have said EG 606)

Fantastic collection! Honestly if you didn't have them labeled, I would think the Yeossal's were Rosewood and the EG 's were Chestnut

Crazy collection that you got, Jealous is the word here! LOL

The Yeossal looks so great standalone, but in the group photo, I really think GG/ EG look way better and balanced, though I can't tell why.

The Kudu is my winner.

The Kudu is my winnder.
Thank you so much :) To be honest I like them all and they have a place in my wardrobe.
I agree Oak Kudo Thorpe is amazing and too bad I missed on the Rosewood Kudo isham when Skoaktiebolaget was offering it few years back.
Dressier options are the G&G Savile monks/EG Dark oak Dovers and Casual ones are the other four.
Interestingly the only handwelted ones are the Yeossal Thomson at less then half price than the competition and they are very impressive as well to me.

Initially I was set on GG Hove on MH71 (the only last in GG I can barely squeeze in), but thought it looked too dressy and value comfort more subsequently. Not sure if I would get EG eventually, but might get AM Centurion (in his dark burgundy stock color, though might have to change to Chisel 2 or have a last modification on soft square) first after OT.

I would say go with OT/Yeossal HW and faster turn around. Regarding AM I think it will take too much time to make a MTO and his pricing for HW Centurion will be more than $1k so in that regard I like Yeossal/OT but more so because I have lost patience for waiting on new shoes lol

+1, how long did it take?
I have worn these Rosewood Dovers crazy like anything and these are more than 3 years old.

Cross post from the Yeossal thread.
Just took delivery of the Yeossal - Thomson shoes (SpTD) and following are the specs:
Last: YC3 with 3 mm reduced instep.
Leather: Chestnut Utah (Hass Utah Grain Leather)
Size: 8UK/42
Sole: Leather (Black/Natural Color) + Metal Toe tips
Sole Shape: Spade
Heel: Tapered
Trees: Lasted shoes trees (Double Barrel Spring).
Extra: slight burnishing and shine on Toe/heel

Please Note pictures posted below are taken inside so they may look slightly darker than when taken outside.

My main concern was the fit and they fit perfect.
Good enough room in toe area and very good fit in length/heel/instep areas.

I am glad i didn't order the SG65 last as that would have been tight for the toes for sure as i feel the toe area is very tapered on that last and i think YC3 last is better suited for SpTD.
The only negative thing i can say for this order is the burnishing was done darker than what i had asked for.
After wearing for few minutes i feel i am fine with that burnishing and can use some Saphir Reno. conditioner to lighten a bit in future. Overall i am very happy with the shoes and i highly recommend Yeossal Team and Jackson.
These Guys are fantastic !!
I will post more comparison pictures with EG SpTD and G&G SpTD as well sometime soon :)
These are truly incredible. It’s funny how some Yeossal SpTD’s have a seamless heel and some don’t. My pair that was part of the collection group order doesn’t but I have a second pair on order, so we’ll see how that goes.

As @Encore said, JEALOUS is the word here!!

One thing i've started to notice is how long the actual split toe is and how it changes the aesthetics. Seeing them all side by side shows how much longer the split toe is on the dovers compared to both the Y and GG. Also interesting how the pie crust has nice round shape on the dovers but the Thorpes is more squarish on the toes.

The GG rosewood kudu would make a nice addition to this collection. There's enough difference between them and the Oak kudu thorpe to keep both.:fistbump:

oh yea I'm definitely getting OT on horween espresso hatchgrain, just as a "2nd" one I would get AM as the "dressier" option (smooth calf, and i like dark burgundy), probably settle with Argenum Welt rather than handwelt with AM
