What’s the go to brand nowadays for split toe?
Yeah, not sure your budget but I agree with @Mallaig
Thanks @Mallaig and @jischwar

What’s after that? Dieworkwear swears by Edward Green. What’s another brand that’s a little more sporty per se. EG is dressy. I want something that I can wear with pants and jeans. Or should I stick with loafers altogether?
So I would say you can get there easier with EG in terms of last, welt and sole configuration. Check out Alden as well for a more American ivy.

Here are some EG Dovers, Notched Welt, Ridgeway soles and 32 last

Thanks @Wild Strawberry Rabbit @sussi @jischwar

I have Vass norweger from NMWA that I love. Looking for a dark brown pair.

I really liked the collab between Drakes and Paraboot. The leather sole in lieu of rubber looked great. Gave it a slimmer profile, which to me straddled the line between dress and sporty well. Too bad it was seasonal item and sold out. I think I needed a 7.5uk rather than the 7uk.

I also have the JM Weston 180 that are a pain to break in so far. I'll continue to keep an eye out.

My Oct Tenth OT01 in J&FJ Baker Black Russian calf arrived last week, the fit is much better than my previous OT01 in Russian Calf, the size was reduced by a quarter and instep was a little bit reduced.
Here is a pic of the black pair before I give them to my cobler to put toe taps and sole protector

And here they are with their old sisters
