Anyone know of a good source for clothing labels.

I need something embroidered in one or two colors on a plain background. I've got a couple options. One with a "design" and text and one with just text. I guess that will influence price a bit.

Also, there seems to be a lot of different options for fabric for the label, like
damask, taffeta, twill, & satin. What material is it that a typical inside label on a suit is made out of? I'm thinking a basic satin polyester?

What format do you usually have to deliver the artwork in? Is Adobe Illustrator good enough?

I have worked with this company and have been happy. Pricing has been good and delivery good as well.

I dont have a contact as the three people i have worked with have since left.

I have sent jpegs and they have worked off that. Most places can do that. They sent a sample of the finished product before proceeding with the order.

Just a note: JPEGs are completely and absolutely the wrong format for this. If you're using a "consumer-grade" format, PNGs or SVGs are your best bet (depending on whether its raster or vector, respectively). Their graphics people probably use TIFFs natively, though.

I've had good luck with Name Maker, Inc. out of Atlanta, GA. They've been around a long time. I order the woven labels and the turn around is quick and I think the prices are fair. I just have my name done in a standard typeface, but they do complete custom labels also.

They're here on the web:
