+1 eason. japanese slim straight jeans are all pretty similiar to each, short of variations in denim weight/dye patterns etc. if you can only buy 1 jean a year, don't buy a double of what you have. explore something new.

at least my pair measure slightly (very slightly though, but still) more at the hem than the knee.

Somet 003, purchased around October 20, 2007, so going on a year and three months now. Size 32. Washed twice, can't quite remember when. I think once at six or seven months, and just recently in December. Worn very often, almost every day in New York City. I love how the yellow stitching accentuates a yellowcast throughout the denim. I love this cut; slim but not skinny. Not as skinny as the KMW 1980 in the same size. Just very flattering. I like trying new jeans everytime I pick up a new pair but it is very likely that I'll just buy another 003.

I can tell you that although these have a larger thigh measurements than KMW Rockers, the thigh is tighter and does not stretch nearly as much.

I have the 003 in a sz 32, and the NS in a 30, and yes, the Somet has a more relaxed thigh over time. Upon first wears, I can't quite remember.

VICTORY

Cold soaked, sat in a kneeling position for a while, thighs and crotch and now much closer to my KMW's in fit.

Can I have your opinions please?

Thinking about either buying somet 003's new full price from BIG, or the 005's in black for $100 here on SF. They've been worn like 10x, and I'd prob wash them if I bought them.

Is it a waste to buy them, wash them, and then wear and not wash for a long time? Does washing it once do anything? I'd do this with the used pair, not the brand new 003's.

Also, anybody have a preference to the 003 vs 005. They both seem dark enough that the fact that one is indigo and one black isn't a huge difference... the white stitching on the 005's stand out more. Do you guys think they look good in real life? Down to personal preference? Any opinions? thanks!
