Duh, it SUPPOSED to be long :nodding: Cus, you know, we're all fishermen.

Yes, the stark was originally a thick, workwear sweater designed for tall Nordic fishermen. But do you think people are buying the stark from their local Big And Tall Fisherman shop? No. The stark has been re-appropriated by people selling it as a fashion garment. People are buying them from fashion stores that have bought them after seeing them in showrooms displayed in a particular way.

So no, people are not wearing them "wrong", just like wearing combat boots in a streetwear outfit isn't "wrong". Clothes don't have to serve their original purpose.

I like the long stark but the new shorter one also looks good.

can you button it without having it pull across your chest too much?

i'm about 5'-8", 145, 37" chest...trying to decide on what size.

if i understand correctly, the new starks fit shorter? are there any other differences? is there a way to guarantee i get a new stark when ordering from any certain websites?

The new Starks are found in certain exclusive colors that were for the most part unique to F/W 2012. I am fairly sure that all the mélange colors for example have new Stark sizing: That includes Triple Blue Mix, Army Green Mix, Tres Bien's special Indigo Blue Mix, Purple Melange, and I think Concrete. Other colors, such as Navy, Black, Brown, Clay, Olde Green, etc. are found in the old Stark sizing.

I sized up on a SNS knit I bought recently and it was the best decision ever. Prior to this, I owned 3 Stark's in small, and while they fit fine, I much prefer the medium, which fits ever so slightly slouchy and the sleeve aren't as tight.
