Slim fitting wool pants for office

After picking up some custom-made shirts that are neatly tailored to my body, all of my pants look like parachutes in comparison. I have had a great deal of trouble finding some slim fitting pants for the office.

I am definitely not looking for "skinny" pants -- I picked up some off-brand Italian pants from C21 and they looked a bit funny on me -- I'm 6'0" and 170 lbs. with about a 33 waist...the pants just looked ill-fitting.

Any suggestions? Looking to spend about $100 or so. They are for wear in office, so I assume wool is most appropriate material.

I do like when the bottom is nice and slim so I can wear them with no break just hitting my shoe -- this looks ridiculous if pants are too loosely cut.

Thanks!

Zara's trousers are exactly in your price range. The wool could be of a higher quality but the stitiching is rock solid and the fit is the best of any trouser I have ever owned. Zara trousers have actually ruined me for other trousers - even better than trousers I've had custom-made.

There was almost the exact question posted a week or two ago, and this was the overwhelming response. So much so, that I went out and bought a pair of their trousers (near the suits, the 100% wool ones; they have some cotton/ blend others, but don't go for these) and they are fantastic. After trying on 25 or so pairs of different brands and then trying these on, they are definitely the best fit I have found. I would highly suggest these as well for that price range.

Howard Yount - one of the forum sponsors. Check the links above. Much better quality than Zara stuff for a similar price.

Argh! You beat me to it...

Incotex and mabitex wool pants can be found on B&S and eBay just a tad north of $100 and offer MUCH better quality over Zara pants. I have a pair of Zara and the fit great, but the quality is obviously lacking in comparison with some stitching coming loose after 2 years of light use. They do offer an excellent value when on sale (down to around $50 or so iirc).

Thanks -- I was concerned Incotex would be a bit too slim, although I've certainly never seen them in person.
