Awesome shoes!
Hi @Leaves Any chance that you'll do a run of the Abreau or Garcia penny loafer in brown cordovan? Love the last and price, but black isn't as versatile for my wardrobe. Thanks!
Any plans on the flores in espresso calf?Indeed. Thing we’ll go for the Dark Cognac or Armagnac for an Abreau sometime in the not so distant future.
With just a half size difference and suede, they might just stretch enough with some help. Maybe worth a chat with your cobbler?
I tried them really quickly before the wedding and they were tight then as well, but I had the same thought as you - they're suede, they're only half a size from what I usually have: they'll stretch and be all right. But they were absolutely unbearable at the wedding.
Hm, just as I am writing this I realised it may have been because feet swell after flight + driving several hours in a row. I'll give them another try when I get home!
@Leaves any examples of EB kiltie loafers, by chance?
Any plans on the flores in espresso calf?
Yeah these will probably stretch out nicely, my suede Alvares loafers were very snug in the beginning but now fits like a glove. Generally avoid wearing completely new shoes where the feet might swell a lot like for evening events, after eating/alcohol intake (and flights as you say). My recommendation to break in new shoes is to wear them morning until lunch then switch to a backup pair if they feel very uncomfortable still. Repeat every other day. I also keep surgical tape as a backup at the office and in my travel kit for “emergencies” if I get blisters. I’ve broken in so many shoes now I don’t take any chances.
