I hope some slimmer lasts. The current ones are too roomy for my slender feet. Sizing down doesn't work for me. Have to return another pair I just received yesterday.
And I need wider lasts! With Carmina raising prices again, would love to start buying L&T, but simply too narrow.

^ I'm regretting that I'm discovering Scafora only through the sale now that they won't be carried. My second pair is on the way (and it's very tempting to pick up a third). I suppose that's the way these things are sometimes. I don't have any Meccariello to compare to but they are outstanding.

How do you scafora so far? How does it compare with other makers? I am also bit surprised they are not popular on SF. They look very similar to Meccariello that seems quite popular on SF. Scafora looks like a more subtle version of AM.

I had both and they are comparable. I really cannot say that one is better than the other. The instep on AM is a little higher.

Just ordered the Neapolis Amalfi Calf to give PS a shot before it gets hard to find at decent prices. Hope the last works for me. I have E width feet with medium instep... so I / think/ the R last should work well a full size down from my us size. Riskiest shoe purchase I've made, probably. Bummer that there's no shoe trees available in 9uk any longer.

Do you happen to have an AS on the 724 last, like a hunt or moore? From pictures the last reminds me of the 724. Curious if that's the case.

This particular Scafora last is a bit roomy. I added a tongue pad and that helped a lot.
I haven’t worn it so can’t tell you much about durability but I see no reason why it would disappoint. The one difference is that both StC and Scafora use a lot of crust leather. My gut instinct tells me that neither of the two models I chose are crust so there may not be any difference there. Maybe Skoaktiebolaget can confirm.
As for aesthetics, it’s great. I love the last, the fiddle waist, and the simple cap-toe. It’s most similar to my black G&G cap toe in that regard.

@Leaves : I sent you guys an email yesterday re: the R last on PS. Hope you answer it before the sale closes so I can proceed with the purchase.

The guys are off today, we are closed Sundays. But we'll have a look as soon as we are back.

How roomy? You sized down 1 full size from brannock?

Yes my usual US 8.5D translates most of the time to a UK 7.5E. And that is what I purchased. I'm guessing that a UK 7 may have fit slightly better but maybe not as the shoe felt roomy around the midfoot (hence the tongue pad). Not sure if going all the way down to a 7 would have been a good idea length-wise.

Thanks. Well, this will be interesting. I think it will fit well, actually.
