Go with Auroras. And then you can still buy a pair of Birks too if you want—just get one of the $30-50 “used” pairs that often pop up on eBay from someone who wore them twice and hated the footbed.
I think the kids are gonna buy me a pair of Auroras for Xmas. Leaving me to buy some Birks for myself.

Margiela Shawl Brick Cardigan. This is the newer 14 variant so it’s not the one from 08/09.

Any reason I shouldn't buy this SC? Cotton tic weave, ivory colour, unconstructed, patch pockets. Ticking all boxes for the perfect summer jacket. Just unsure about its versatility.

This might be more of a Do they even exist...?.

^These are some cool-ass jeans. I totally bought them. And yet, I still want some jeans that look like that. I’m talking Luke Perry on the beach. That perfect late 80s wash, faded to a memory of blue, the smell of Sun In trailing it like a gown.

I bought them. And still they elude me:

Maybe jeans are just hard to photograph. Here, they still appear lighter than the reality. A shade darker than the product shot, and less uniform — that kind of 90s dadwear wash that’s so ironic no one’s in on the joke. And yet, they’re apparently the only light wash jeans without elastane.

I put it to you, Greg: who makes jeans that actually look like that photo? And where can I find them? (Or should I just shut up and rock these...)

My bleached APCs look pretty close to that picture. A bit less blue maybe, but it’s an uniform wash (no fake whiskers, honeycombs or fades) and 100% cotton.

Get cowboy boots if you want snakeskin and that much heel. Those heels look like lifts on a chelsea

They have a clipped Western toe that I'm not exactly feeling. I don't know. On the one hand, I can see someone like @RegisDB9 wearing those really well. On the other hand, I wish they were just a pair of basic side-zip boots, made to better standards than Margiela, that you can wear across a wider range of wardrobes.

Did you see their other styles?

Yeah, not even close to liking the others tbh. Although Synth thinks I can rock those black ones, so who knows...leather doesn't seem terrible, and they were down to $320 on BF.

I was kind of even thinking about the tecovas suede side zip, what's wrong with me. The everlane of cowboys are getting to me.
