Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)?

New here. I've run this bag by a few friends and they've all told me I'm f%&#ing crazy for thinking about it, so I figured I'd ask some folks with better taste

I've thought about it often since I first felt it a few months ago, but haven't quite bit the bullet yet for one reason in particular: I have never used a bag without a shoulder strap before. If this thing came with a shoulder strap, I'd already have one in each color.

Anyways, 1) Thoughts?; 2) Anyone have experience with this particular leather? I'm not very careful with some of my things and each time I've been in the store, the staff has told me to simply not scratch it in the first place (no one is willing to admit that it might be a scratch magnet)

i like my ckc hidden placket fwiw. bows can vouch too. i have 2 in white and 1 in black and wear a medium since they run small. ive also got a blue one (without hidden placket) thats never been worn in a small if anyones interested
