Hi all,

Hope someone might have some advice here. I'm getting married in May and still need shoes to go with the suit that I bought a couple months ago (Borrelli from Filene's Basement o_O). I've tried going to the usual department store suspects (Saks, Barney's, etc.) and found them lacking. All the shoes seem clunky, and there are only a handfull of pairs of brown shoes in each store.

Elegant brown cap-toe oxfords can't be that hard to find, can they?

B & M:

Polo on Newbury -- Edward Green models might be too expensive for your taste, but they will have some beautiful looking shoes fitting your description in the $500 range.

Louis Boston -- Not sure what they are carrying in terms of styles right now, but the Bonora shoes are fairly moderately priced ($600 or so, I think) and are very sleek.

Online:

Check out SierraTradingPost.com -- they have some A. Testoni's that look pretty nice.

Polo has oxfords ( Italian-made ) for about $600. No more EGs, though.
LB carries Kitons that start north of $1600
Check Barneys for C&J and house label classic styles
