I am usually a 10K in UK shoes... sometimes 9.5... but some information on eBay re sausages seems to suggest that a 9.5F might be adequate as it is an Italianish snouty last. But I do not really know whether to do it in two colors. Or do it all in a single color. What do you think is better? Two colors like these? Or one color only? About Bestettis reputation I can vouch for it to be increasing around the world now, since he launched his RTW/MTO-lines. Spoke to Steven Taffel who owns Leffot about it yesterday and apparently a lot of his customers have been talking about Bestetti lately.
My only concern actually is that it will be going TOO good for him, since he seem to be swamped with orders already leading to long waiting times, and the demand does seem to be increasing. So just hope that he can keep up with it, he's such a nice guy to deal with so he deserves all the success he can have.

Instead Bestetti told me yesterday that it is all done and edited by him personally. And this is the only guarantee to have a product of excellence.

you're right .... maybe no one can answer this question. I really like the name invented by Bestetti. And he told me that he has not called D'Annunzio for two reasons. 1) in the world of elegance D'Annunzio is already inflated, especially here in Italy. 2) D'Annunzio is the name of the same model made by Gaziano & Girling.

P.S. even those beautiful pictures you posted ... whatever the date of creation remains for me one of the most beautiful models of shoes. So three cheers for the Gladiators!
