Sheepskin Jacket repair advice?

I recently bought a second hand sheepskin jacket which for the most part is in great condition. I've had to do some small repairs and tweeks myself but there's one issue that I don't know how to resolve on my own. The outside part of the collar has discoloured and taken on a more tough texture than the fur on the inside of the jacket which remains soft and a pleasant shade of brown.

My question is: can I do anything to restore the colour or texture (preferably both) of the fur on the collar?

I wouldn’t try anything myself but rather take to a qualified cleaner in your area.

Thanks for the reply. The issue is that I would likely be paying more for such a service than I paid for the jacket, so I'd prefer a DIY fix if there is one. Otherwise I will likely just put up with it as it's not a significant issue.
