Im thinking of getting an old Aventus bottle just for collecting purposes honestly. But im glad Royal Oud remains the same as it was before.

Tried the Terre'd Hermes Eau Givree yesterday.
Very grapefruit rindy. The opening is awesome.
I think I'm going to try a decant first to see what the longevity is like, because, citrus.

Honestly, I bet Lonestar Memories scratches that itch.

Gardner's Glove for me, today. IT IS SO GOOD. A very relaxed, evocative scent. I really do feel like I've planted a bunch of tomato plants.

Speaking of Creed, in a last ditch effort to give the line another sampling, I tried Neroli Sauvage today to evaluate if it might be a quality, warm weather scent. The only thing that was remarkable about it, was how unremarkable it was from opening through dry down. Very generic. At least it didn't come off as overladen with scratchy synthetics as many of Creeds have turned me off with.

Just ordered The Ghost Perfumer, and hope at least that will be a quality read.

Aventus, which is arguably like the people's holy scent grail, smells very meh to me.
At least ON me.
I do like Millesime Imperial though as a warm weather fragrance.

Maybe I'll try the Millesime.

Aventus gave me a ripping headache, unfortunately, because it is an appealing scent.

I think Neroli Sauvage is a copy of Eau De Rochas

MI wowed me the first time i smelled it, it was at the beginning of my fragrance journey.

Have tried Aventus on numerous occasions, and I always get surprised by how boring it is.

Today's scent is Timbre by Chris Rusack. The first smell is akin to bug spray from the 70's. Fades into a mellow leather.

Well, I have plenty of Eau de Rochas (modern and older) which I like a lot more than any of Creed's current line I've yet tried, as well as a number of Creed's oh so coveted Vaulted fragrances like Cypres Musc.

Although the Rochas has no neroli (listed) but focuses on the brighter/sharper citruses, it is a fantastic warm weather scent. I've raved about it here a couple years back. And for $35 a bottle, a no brainer and maybe one of the best quality-to-price ratio fragrances available, giving Lalique's Encre Noir a L'Extreme a run for the money.
