Rotated or offset sleeve placket

I have found that when writing or at the computer, double cuffs often get in the way underneath the hand. I was reading an old 1900s book which suggests having shirts made with the placket rotated (presumably to the crease line?), with a note that 'Mr. Lewin' makes all of his shirts like this. Having inspected a T.M. Lewin shirt made nowadays, this is not the case. However, has any one else had shirts made this way?
