COuld someone suggest where to get nice shoes in Rome, Italy? I will be there on a weekday and will have an afternoon.

IIRC, there is a central shopping district in Rome close to the "Spanish Steps" where all the major brands are located including Ferragamo, Testoni, Santoni and even the British shoemaker Churchs.

You are correct. Bally as well. The street is the one that leads straight off the steps (don't remember the name).

Barberini or nearby and Nazionale have shoe shops as well.
