Barker boots for the rain
recently got a pair of brown caps...big hole in my wardrobe has been filled by these:

Jod boots are pretty much paddock boots, which is for riding horses and everyday wear. They are more casual and have ornaments (buckle). The more going on a piece of footwear has the less formal it is. A jod boot with a suit is too much.
