With such detailed measurements, you could always send them in to RM Williams and they'll get the right boot for you.
If you check out the made-to-order section of the catalogue, it asks for a trace of your foot as well as the measurements at the 'joint', 'lower instep', 'instep' and 'heel'.

I think the sleekest last on a chisel toe would be the craftsman with a nailed leather sole. Can't remember the exact last number for the craftsman though sorry.

Has anyone ever had the size of a boot altered when resoling? I have 2 pairs in 8.5G and they are a very close fit. I thought they were perfect for a few months but when worn all day my toes get a bit squashed. I have also noticed since stretching there is excess room in the width which demonstrates itself with slight bulging of the leather below the ankle along the foot. I got them both from the RM shop and measured with the sales person but I think they are a tad short and a bit wide.

I can persevere with them until resole time but look forward to having a better fit...

When I get a resole I am going to ask them to turn them into a 9F. Anyone done this before?

I recall that a couple of people had RMs relasted in a different width (i.e. they changed a G width to an F width) but not sure about the length.

Might as well ask!

I had two pair relasted half a size down (9.5 to 9) worked very well. They also offered to do the width but I didn't need it ,and mentioned they can do 1/2 size in either direction. So yes it can be done, they charged me $150 each including shipping both ways which I think is very fair. Call the store in Manhattan they ship out at the beginning of each month.

Thanks Guys. I am in Sydney so too easy regarding stores/shipping. I'll get it done when the sole wears out.

I've finally gotten my Macs, and while there seems to be a lot of creasing, I am enjoying them. However, I'm looking to use them when there is light rain. I have obenaufs heavy duty lp, but then the boots will be forever dulled. Does anyone use any sort of waterproofer that can take a shine. Montana pitch, perhaps?

First post here - could someone please post pics and/or measurements of an RM Williams ankle opening? I bought a pair or lower-end Chelsea boots and the ankle is too loose provide me good support.

Thanks!
