My favorite so far is The Commander's Palace. Impeccable service. The turtle soup w/ sherry is a must.

Screw restaurants. Beer is free on the gambling floor and the Imperial Palace has $2.50 steak and eggs after midnight.

anyone else?

mbc, where is the commander's palace? (i'm guessing caesar's.)

tiger,
i've never seen any of the deals people talk about. i've heard stories of steak and lobster for $5 and so on but i think that must be a thing of the past. and i don't want to find out what a $2 steak tastes like.

Commander's Palace is in the Aladdin... not a terribly impressive hotel by current Vegas standards. More information here: http://www.commanderspalace.com/

Prob too late, but Prime (steak) in the Bellagio and Bouchon (French bistro) in the Venetian are excellent.

Bartolotta's Ristorante at the Wynn. Great, but not cheap.

I go a few times a year.

My favorite resturant in Noob Hill at the MGM. Amazing service, food, and decent atmosphere. The owner Michael Mina also has his flagship at the Belliago, but I've never been there. I had one of the best resturant experiences of my life here.

For authentic Mexican, Border Grill at Mandalay Bay is fantastic. Its owned by the Two Hot Tamales. It also has a decent view of the pool area, which is nice in the Summer. Perfect Mexican drinks and perfect mole. I would easily reccomend this place over Mesa Grill at Ceasars, although Mesa has a better interior.

Simon at the Hard Rock is another great place. Its got a fun new American menu, chef Simon is actaully there, its young and its loud. Everytime I eat at Bouchon, everything is perfect, but my meals at Simon have ranged from amazing to very good.

I've never been able to eat at Bradley Ogden, but its planned for my next trip. Also Fat Burger and In and Out are nice if you're from the East Coast, although we are starting to have more fast food places like that. Aladdin/ Planet Hollywood has a great Middle Eastern ethnic buffet. Also 99 cent strip cocktails by the Golden Nugget and deep fried Twinkes. I wish I could tell you about some great local chef off the strip, but I never make it out there.
