Allen Edmonds SprezzMok: A shoe inspired by #menswear. A fusion of a chukka, a longwing, and a double monk. Also has a penny slot on the monk strap. Done in brown Ilcea Museum calf. Channeled soles from JR Redenbach. Neon green laces and edge dressing. Goyser welting done by hand in Port Washington, WI. None of that 360 degree machine stuff. Triple monk model coming Spring 2014.

Allen Edmonds Trump: A collab with the man in the toupee himself. A classic black loafer emblazoned with a huge gold horse bit with the initial "DT." Made from the finest grade corrected grain leather. No welting. (Glue job)

Allen Edmonds CrocMok: Inspired by the Internet Big Timer himself, SpooPoker; made for his decidedly small timer minions. A loden green double monk in crocodile. Also comes in top shelf komodo dragon (KomoMok) or hippotomamus (HippoMok).

Just a reminder...this thread isn't about AE bashing though if Paul lurks here I hope he will be amused at our good-natured pokes.
We may have to look at some vintage to gleen the rewards but what I was hoping to see also, are a broad range of items with strange or amusing names. I am going through my own wardrobe to see if I can find any goodies but the chances are slim.
I donated another bale of clothes to my local thrift store over the weekend and was looking through topcoats. I saw one vintage coat from the 1960's with a tag that reads 'Fit for a King!' under the brand name (forgot what brand). I turned to a woman near me and asked, 'excuse me, but do you think this coat is for for a king?' She scoped me for jest, then said, 'I am not sure'. Then I showed her the label and she laughed.....then....to my astonishment, she asked, 'are you buying that coat?'. I said, it's too small for me, but it is a nice topcoat and yours if you want it. She thanked me, went up tp the cashier and paid for it. An odd and humourous moment.

A serious moment if I may;
Allen Edmonds should have a CEO line. Call it the 'Grangard Line'. Paul certainly deserves this recognition for the impressive turn-around he and his staff have achieved with the product and company. This line should have 7 essential models. My suggestions would be a Plain toe wholecut, Plain Cap toe, Brogued Cap Toe, Austerity Shortwing, Monk Strap, Brogued Wingtip boot in Scotchgrain, Cap Toed boot. The line should be on par or better than Alden and have a cushioned footbed, combination heels for the shoes, and commando soles for the boots and lay within the $500-$700 range. This token line would observe the true glory days quality.

  • Don't buy the AE Assange light hiker. Major leaks.
  • AE Snowden Airport Mocs for those lengthy layovers.
