Hi everyone.

I have a couple of leather jackets, both of which have creases in the collar. I'm wondering if anyone know if and how these can be removed ? I have tried ironing with brown paper between iron and leather (as per a video I saw on YouTube), but it made no difference. I have attached some photos which may help.

Many thanks in advance

The way you linked your images doesn't work, it would be a better idea to just upload them.

Hi Mercurio. Thanks for that reply. I'll try to upload them here.

You can not remove creases from leather.

Some people have tried to do this with an iron after reading some material online. They then come here asking how to fix their scorched or damaged leather.

dieworkwear, thanks for that. Well, I guess I should be grateful for small mercies. I was pretty careful when I tried ironing those collars. The leather is not damaged in any way,

You can see an example of damaged leather here

When you first buy nice clothes and accessories, it's easy to get caught up in keeping things looking new, particularly leather goods, which show their age easily. But quality leather goods are made so that they age well (for the most part). Additionally, most men look better when their clothes don't look too new. When things age gracefully and they're worn well, that's when a look often comes together.

Best to just embrace how the leather ages.
