Japanese are often totally oblivious to the sensitivity of using Nazi-related imagery. Not uncommon for bands to wear Nazi uniforms on stage for no real reason.

Meh, they're oblivious to a point, but it gets overplayed. This is still a country that refuses to acknowledge the millions of Chinese, Koreans and Vietnamese they themselves killed.

I read somewhere awhile ago, that Adolf is a popular name in Japan, as they name their children after famous people, with no regard for why they are famous.

Fun fact: I don't know if you people know that, but New Balance shoes were worn a lot by neo nazis in Germany for some time. Probably simply because of the big "N" and they see themselfs and nationalists. Or maybe they still wear it a lot, I don't know, as they are worn by other people a lot, too, nowadays. I think the first time I heard of the brand was in that context. ^^

I actually did email LN-CC when that went down, and their reply was basically "we never noticed that, and the brand is Japanese, and we'll get in touch and update you" but they never got back to me.

Sounds like the Japanese need to brush up on their history.

They're busy pretending things never happened and celebrating war criminals.
