i know i'm probably really late to the party, but i just realized how genius raf chain derbies are. elegant with enough attitude to bring it out of "just another black dress shoe" territory. just wish they weren't so expensive (and that i could find a cheaper alternative)

just in case you guys don't know what i'm talking about

Wish I could still find a plain pair of those black derbies, totally spaced on them when they were on Gilt :(

Saw Casablanca on the big screen tonight and now all I can think about is wearing a dinner jacket and palling around with Claude Rains.

I liked them when I first saw them, but didnt the production model end up with a ginormous heel and clown shoe toe?

Don't know why, but I've been looking into leather and wool lately..probably my favourite clothing fabrics. Breathable, elastic and high thermal capacity. So versatile lol.
