The Dries shirt I got has such a bizarre cut. Shoulder seams hit right, but then the chest is H U G E. Looks like a poncho. It's like it was cut with extra fabric deliberately with the intention of the buyer having it tailored. Fabric is awesome though so rather than return it I am just gonna get it tailored. Shouldn't cost too much. I should send the leftovers to kgmessier so he can make a tiny shirt (if you haven't seen his second life of a jacket thread you should check it out).

I think you have him confused with NOBD, both have young daughters.

this is fascinating, tell me more

I just meant there is far too much volume. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to have been designed to be worn this way—it really just looks like a formless, ill-fitting shirt. Luckily the shoulders fit appropriately, so it should be salvageable. Even with the alterations it's a good deal, so I'm not particularly upset.

Ah, yes, you're right. My bad. That thread is incredible though. Wish I had those sort of skills.

Haha. Alright. Pic will have to wait a bit as shirt/camera are at home.

In other news, still recovering from dinner last night: brandade de morue; duck breast; tarte tatin; lots and lots of wine...some pleasures are worth their pain

The only person who shouldn't wear a sweater is satan.
But he probably could if he really wanted to.

Biggskipp = so creepy

Well that's not really fair. Haven't both posted photos on here with their daughters or at least mentioned them? Not like Biggskipp dug through their trash to bring these revelations to Styleforum.
