Unchecked the boxes on my Alert Preferences. Hopefully that does the trick.

That's exactly what I did and what was so confusing. Unchecking them boxes on your alert preferences for some reason does not seem to stop the alerts. But what LAGuy said seems to work, disabling them at the bottom of your watched-threads page. You just have to make sure you're on the All watched threads page, not the Unread watched threads page, otherwise the boxes and the little menu at the bottom won't be there...

My obsession with side-stripe pants led me to Valentino recently. I ordered two pairs from Yoox; haven't received them yet.

Fwiw, in Europe Valentino is pretty highly-regarded. Maybe not quite up there with the biggest names (Prada, ...), but just a notch below.

Valentino turned up in an instagram feed I follow and I'm intrigued. Really respect the aesthetics of the person running the feed, and don't know anything about Valentino beyond the name.

Yeah I got a couple floral shirts. I wore one in my recent WAYW. I like them they look very nice and seem to be well made. I really liked the "Cuban" shirts with the elastic hems

Just got this email from Gentry

I really liked that shop and even bought a thing or two at retail from them, but it definitely seemed like a shop mired in the past way of doing things. The online shop lacked the basic information need to sell things, even though the fit pics looked a lot more fun than the usual. There was generally not even good copy or descriptions of the product. It's a shame, but if you'd asked me what shops would surivive, I am reasonably sure I would not have picked them as a sure or even good, bet.

Yup gentry's online platform is pitiful. I went to the Brooklyn location once, not impressed with the physical store either.
