it's so tough (for me, at least) to get a feel for the clothes when they're on a manequin.

I like the Black Label stuff, though.

So are DB suits in now?

DB's were never out out, just living a buried existence among the diehards while the fashionable considered it dead.

But like all things in fashion, everything eventually gets recycled. Look at the single breasted three button jackets/suits; it's popularity is being supplanted by the single breasted TWO button.

A lot of the items look like what a butler would wear.

I liked the prevalence of three-pieces. And those Black Label DBs are very cool.

Few interesting things:

-The black wool racer half-zip sweater from this winter black label seems back in khaki for purple label
-White is in
-Pink and purple are still in
-3 piece is still in
-we get the point, they're definitely pushing double-breasted!
-is that a double breasted blazer with 2 (!) buttons?
-that is one HOT white trench from black label
-contrast collars are back and here to stay

Looks like the eighties are back.

I am sure I like the collection, but I just hate how they showed it.

The Purple Label DBs are all 4x2 and the Black and Polo are 6x2 although there are none of the Polo models shown. The buttons are all in the square 'Kent' configuration of the classic DB and not the 6x1 V shape popular in the 80s.

Yeah, it's weird that they didn't show the runway photos. So much better on a real person. Still some nice stuff, though.

+1

Jacket/shirts/tie are OK on a mannequin, but seeing trousers just hanging down like that is way too distracting. I couldn't even finish the slideshow. Is the crunch really so bad that RL can't afford a model or two anymore??

maybe it's just on me, but it seems like all RL pics look so great on their site and runway shows but the real garments don't fit like that

the last couple years I've bought anything polo.com most everything was returned for that reason
