My Boston's are breaking in a bit hard, and I know that English grain leather breaks in hard. We had a bit of a bleeder when I took them off today. I put a couple of hours in them on city sidewalks on Saturday and they felt fine. Today, I wore them around the house a bit and then down to the corner store for some martini makings, and they felt a bit hard and uncomfortable and noticed the damage when I took them off. Fit seems perfect both width and length. Should I hit them with some conditioner (Renovateur would be my choice) and hydrate them a bit or just take it a little slower on the break-in?

Agree. I'm going to hit them with some Renovateur and go slow with thick socks until this all plays out.

As Sinatra used to say when he wanted to stop singing on stage and go pour himself another drink, "my mary janes are biting me!"

These look great! I am looking into getting a pair of Harvards sooner rather than later. How would you recommend sizing for them considering they're unlined? I am a 8.5US so I assume 7.5UK but would you suggest differently?
That's exactly what I did. I really like the 376 last, it's one of the best fitting loafer lasts I own

Have same problem when wearing loafers always get blisters n cut for the first few wears

Thanks. These are my first loafers since college, which were the first pair of "dress shoes" that I ever purchased. I absolutely love these shoes, so I was a bit freaked out at the first bloodletting since the infamous Bruno Magli cap toes of the mid '00's.

If there’s a model and make up you would like to MTO, what would it be and why? Doing some research!
