Not mine, but I dig these C&J snuff and shell cordovan saddles (7.5E UK). I already have a similar Alden pair, otherwise would cop. Hopefully a SF member snags them: Ebay

I've been watching these for a few weeks now. Price has been the same and was hoping for a price drop. I think the seller is an SF member too.

Unclear on sizing as he states U.S. 8.5D and I take that size in my Peal & Co boots, but if it is a UK 7.5 then likely too small for me.

Ugliest C&J custom shoe ever. What were they thinking?

Saw those this morning. They are my size, and I love my tan Cardiffs. But man that color is ugly.

But they are on the cool 325 last!

The catalogue colours can be very tricky, even leather swatches .. They do not always turn out as expected ..

Are they yours Nic?

Not every rounded style is mine, Cleav .. However .. Mine will be completed in mid September as Mr. Jones informed .. and not in that colour, lol ..

Those blues had to be approved by the Factory owner, as not a single special order can be conceived without his approval ..

Hey - I'm a new member who's been lurking for a while. Have been looking for a pair of Chelsea boots and trying to pick between the RMs and the C&J Chelsea 3. I tried the latter recently and found these odd creases near the instep (see picture). The boot felt great on length and width so not sure if making something out of nothing but any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

That's perfectly normal in my opinion. My Tetburys have a similar fold (I say fold as it's more so that than a crease), particularly with the soft leather that CJs use, and personally I think it looks great. Secondly, your boots will crease more, obviously, as you wear them, regardless of maker. Just minimise it with shoe trees. You will never maintain that new look with a pair of boots.

So many Australians that wear RMs don't seem to care for them (RM stores don't even sell or suggest trees) so a lot of RMs I see look terrible. I'd like to see how a well maintained pair holds up, but am also considering a pair myself.

got it, thanks. Not worried about general creasing, which i think adds to the character of the boot, just hasn't seen that type of "fold" before.

That looks sharp Misterg12

@nygooner

If the crease is purely aesthetical then i would not pay any attention to it. If they shoe feels comfortable to wear then keep them.
