question: do can you have a "raw" wash?

I bought some jeans at pacsun, and they are advertised as "Rigid dark denim style, ready to be broken in."

They feel like raw to me, except there is no indigo that is rubbing off. The jeans themselves are stiff like raw jeans, and look like they crease easily.

What I'm wondering is, can these fade too even if they aren't true raw? The tag on the inside says to wash before wearing, and to wash inside out to prevent fading. I'm not going to wash before I wear, just because I want to see what can happen.

how can you feel like a pair of jeans is raw. it's raw if it hasn't been prewashed. that doesnt imply whether or not the jeans are stiff. uniqlo and gap raw jeans are some of the softest, thinnest raw jeans around.

What were you doing that made you expect indigo to just rub off?

They sound raw to me.

I have noticed no indigo rubbing off my nudies or apcs. My sugarcanes on the other hand...

All jeans fade with wear, doesn't mean the fades will look good. Just find a sale on raw denim somewhere on the internet... If you care more about price than special features or whatever it won't be hard...

I see on revolve Regular Ralf Dry Organic for under $100, and I'm sure there are other places you can find sub-100 dry jeans.
