Prevent loafers from stretching too much?

I love my Alden suede loafers during the summer. However, due to the softness of the leather and my... generous body weight, I worry about stretching them out too much by wearing them too often...

I am using shoe trees nightly, is there anything else I should be doing to increase the longevity of these loafers?

you shouldn't see any stretching issues. The solid soles should keep you from rolling onto the side - unless the loafers are too big on you and your feet are slipping around or if they're tight, they'll stretch out but not in a problematic way. But, as with any shoe, you should have a rotation so you're not wearing the same pair day after day and they don't get a chance to dry out (different problem than stretching).

I've had my Alden suedes for a couple years and no issues with stretching after the initial stretch achieved during the first few wearings.

Oh, that's great news! Thanks for the reply 👍

In terms of rotating, how long do you normally wait in between wearings? Is EOD long enough?

It should be at least every other day - but it really depends on how much your feet sweat or if the shoes get wet.
