Ive also got a Daniel wellington. However they do not have quartz movement, it even says at the product page and is mentioned earlier in this thread

'Grenen' is the tongue of land just north of the town 'Skagen'. And also the northernmost point of Denmark.
As for the business strategies of the whatch company, I've got no idea.
