That one is a Swiss model, make sure that you take it to your watchmaker often to get oiled and cleaned, that era Bulova movement seems to get fouled often.

A bit of info for you.
'Grenen' is the tongue of land just north of the town 'Skagen'. And also the northernmost point of Denmark.
As for the business strategies of the whatch company, I've got no idea.

Though I'm not sure about their actual reasoning for it, it could simply be because Skagen saw more opportunity in the market for their slim-line watches that no other company was taking advantage of and wanted to expand business into other, lower priced distribution points without watering down the Skagen brand as a whole.

It's almost as if they wanted a way to continue selling these watches:

Either way, I'm not complaining. They're fantastic sub-$100 watches, and with 50% off it's hard not to buy every one just because.
